• Fairfield University, Fairfield Theatre Company Announce Arts And Education Partnership (patch.com) — Fairfield residents can look forward to expanded arts and educational opportunities as Fairfield University becomes Fairfield Theatre Company's exclusive Arts and Education Partner, deepening a 25-year relationship. The collaboration will create new chances for students to work with professional artists, broaden cultural programming for the public, and support the university's growing arts leadership initiatives in town.
   

• Fairfield School Zone Speed Cameras To Resume 20-Mph Enforcement (patch.com) — Drivers in Fairfield should prepare for the 20-mph school zone limit and automated speed cameras to resume enforcement on Sept. 1 as students return. Town officials say speeding events have already dropped sharply and are urging motorists and families to follow safety guidelines around the six monitored school zones to protect children walking, biking, and riding to school.
   

• Developer files scaled back 19-unit housing plan in Easton, Trumbull (ctpost.com) — A developer active in Fairfield and nearby towns is now pushing a scaled‑back 19‑unit townhouse plan on the Easton–Trumbull line, after an earlier 29‑unit proposal was rejected. Easton residents are still raising concerns about fire access, flooding, and density, while the developer argues the project would add much‑needed affordable housing near transit, medical services, and the Merritt Parkway.
