Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?
When I first moved to Fairfield over 20 years ago, I had a very disappointing experience with court process server who was unprofessional, insensitive, and inappropriate in the manner he comported himself. Based upon this personal experience, I felt that my family and the public deserve better and vowed that if I could ever remedy this situation, I would. Consequently, I received the Republican nomination to run for Constable in 2019 and was elected. I have been privileged with honor of serving the Probate Court and our Town since and take pride in doing so with the professionalism, compassion, and courtesy that all respondents deserve.
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
I feel my intense passion for public service, unparalleled commitment to the Fairfield community and highly effective leadership style are some of the many critical differences that distinguish me from other candidates.
I derive great satisfaction helping my neighbors and constituents and have a long history of dedicated service in the fields of patient advocacy, public health, public safety, municipal government, the U.S. Coast Guard, and law enforcement.
I love serving the public and am grateful for the privilege and honor to do so.
In particular, the skills I have honed and experience gained through my training with the NYPD as a Reserve Officer in a Special Task Force unit in Midtown Manhattan are perhaps the most valuable and relevant to the Constable office that I seek.
If you are challenging an incumbent, in what way has the current officeholder failed the community?
I am an incumbent Constable.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
Since I moved to Fairfield over 20 years ago, I have been committed to the community in myriad of ways through my tireless work with patient advocacy organizations, the federal government, the Town’s legislative body, the leadership of neighborhood organizations and on various Boards and Commissions.
I have enjoyed the privilege of serving as a Constable since 2019 and am confident that I have the requisite personal and professional knowledge, skill, ability and experience to continue fulfilling the responsibilities of this important position.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
I have had the privilege of working for and with many great leaders in the fields of medicine, business, athletics, public health, public safety, law enforcement and municipal government. They have all impacted me in their own unique way and my style as a results driven community leader and constituent advocate is a culmination of the many different leadership lessons and highly effective team cultures I have had the privilege of working within.
I have been the beneficiary of many valuable pearls of wisdom imparted and some are as follows:
"Always point your thumb before you point your finger."
"Never be tentative. It is when you are tentative that you get hurt."
"You are always better than you think you are but you are seldom as good as you can be."
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I am passionately committed to the community and grateful for the privilege of serving the Town of Fairfield as Constable. I look forward to the honor of continuing my service in this capacity and hope to earn the support of all on Election Day.
