No
Have you ever held a public office, whether appointive or elective?
Yes. First elected to District 9, RTM, Fairfield, 2015
Now we'd like to ask a few questions about your reasons for running and your general views on politics and government. First, why are you seeking this office?
Fairfield is powered by volunteers. Someone volunteered while I was raising my four boys, so now I am giving back.
Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is \_\_\_, and this is what I intend to do about it.
Lack of planning for future costs and community needs. I am a vocal member of the RTM who produces results
What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
My Democrat members of the RTM take our commitment seriously. We attend meetings in person and work hard on ordinances - part of our pledged responsibilities. The Republican members, so far, refuse to join in the writing and updating of these ordinances/laws. With no RTM budget, the time of all RTM members is necessary to be effective and efficient.
If you are challenging an incumbent, in what way has the current officeholder failed the community?
Our community needs active elected members. I take calls, listen to my District constituents, and produce needed results whether its school fences, painted roads, stop signs or flashing stanchions by St. Pauls. I get it done.
What other issues do you intend to address during your campaign?
If you are going to run and be elected to the RTM, then you need to listen to the people you represent more than your Party.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
Watch the FairTV recordings. I am the voice of my district. As stated previously, through petitions, presenting to the Police Commission and being diligent and persistent I have achieved the following in both approval and funding: Sherman School playground fence, Stop signs/crosswalk @Sunnie Holme/Beach Road, Stop sign South Benson/Baldwin Terrace, trash can @Birch Road/Fairfield Beach Road access to beach, flashing stanchion/new crosswalk at Old Post Rd by St. Pauls Nursery School, "slow school zone" painted on Beach road and Judson Road around Sherman School, repaired side walk on Old Field Rd between Reef and Old Post Rd., had Town address and fix foul odor at Smith Richardson Golf Course club house and cart barn.
What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?
Listen
Is there anything else you would like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I have lived here for 32 years, in the same house, in the same neighborhood. I am committed to help solving the problems that arise.
