Penguin Plunge In Fairfield Will Benefit Special Olympics

The event will take place April 2 at Jennings Beach.

All are invited to sign up for the Fairfield Penguin Plunge hosted by officers with the Fairfield Police Department and Fairfield University Department of Public Safety to benefit Special Olympics Connecticut which will take place on Saturday, April 2nd at Jennings Beach. Participants in the Plunge will jump into the chilly waters to support Special Olympics' year-round sports, health and fitness programs for athletes around the state and help create communities that accept and include people of all abilities. Jennings Beach is located at 880 S. Benson Road in Fairfield. On the day of the event, check-in will begin at 10 a.m. and the Plunge will take place at noon. To register and find out more, visit soct.org. Registration is $25 and participants are asked to raise an additional $75 to support Special Olympics athletes. Pre-registration is strongly encouraged.
