Person Struck, Killed By Train In Fairfield Identified: UPDATE
A person was struck and killed by a train in Fairfield early Wednesday morning.

FAIRFIELD, CT — In an update, Metro-North officials have identified the man struck and killed by a train early Wednesday morning in Fairfield as prominent local developer Alfred Lenoci Jr., according to the Connecticut Post. He was 55 years old. The Post reports no criminality is suspected in the incident.
Original post: Metro-North trains are now running up to 10 minutes behind schedule as of 9 a.m. Wednesday after a man was struck and killed by a train near the Fairfield Metro Station around 5:15 a.m., the Connecticut Post reports.
"New Haven Line - delays now 10 to 15 minutes due to a person being struck by a train earlier near the Fairfield Metro Station," Metro-North said at 8 a.m. In an update at 9 a.m. Metro-North said delays are under 10 minutes. At one point this morning, trains were running up to 40 minutes behind schedule.

In an update, Metro North said the Danbury Branch Line is "now operating on/close to schedule. Thank you for your patience."
NBC Connecticut reports that Grasmere Avenue is closed near Kings Highway due to the incident.
