FAIRFIELD, CT — The holiday season was in the air Sunday in Fairfield, as snowflakes fell gently from the sky and Santa came to town.

The Fairfield Chamber of Commerce's Santa Visits Fairfield event returned after a two-year hiatus, with the man of the hour arriving on a firetruck and hearing holiday wishes from children in the gazebo on Sherman Green.

The event also included horse-and-wagon rides, face painting and tables spotlighting local nonprofits.
