Police Investigating Vandalism at Fairfield School

Windows were smashed at an elementary school over Thanksgiving weekend and police are also investigating reported business break-ins.

Fairfield Police say McKinley Elementary School sustained about $1,250 worth of damage in a vandalism incident over the Thanksgiving weekend, according to the Fairfield Citizen.

The Citizen reports police are investigating after several glass block windows were broken, apparently with a piece of a metal conduit.

Several offices were also broken into over the weekend at the Brick Walk commercial complex at 1275 Post Road, according to the Citizen.

The office safe at Barron, Gannon and Co. was broken into and blank business checks were stolen.

Police are investigating and reviewing surveillance video, according to the Citizen.
