Police Make Drug Bust at Save the Children in Fairfield: Report

FAIRFIELD, CT — Fairfield Police recently intercepted the delivery of 3 pounds of PCP at the Save the Children world headquarters on Kings Highway and arrested a mail courier, according to multiple reports.

The Connecticut Post reports police responded to Save the Children on the report of a suspicious package, which was determined to be PCP, a powerful hallucinogen.

Police set up a sting operation and planted an identical empty box in the mailroom and it was eventually picked up by Giraud Dickson, 33, of Bridgeport, according to the Post.

The Hartford Courant reports Dickson was arrested when he tried to get into his car and leave with the package.

The drugs had been shipped from the West Coast, according to the Courant.

Save the Children representatives told the Post that Dickson was not an employee of the organization and is no longer working as one of their contractors.
