Possum That Stole Fairfield Woman's Package Leads To Donation For Wildlife Center
Amazon and jeweler Ross-Simons joined the possum's victim, Betsy Lockhart, in donating to Weston-based Wildlife in Crisis, News 12 reported.
FAIRFIELD, CT — A Fairfield woman who lost her earrings last month when a possum was recorded stealing a package from Amazon off her porch has used the experience to help local wildlife, according to News 12.
In addition to replacing the accessory, Amazon and jeweler Ross-Simons joined the possum’s victim, Betsy Lockhart, in donating to Weston-based Wildlife in Crisis, where hundreds of possums are raised annually, News 12 reported.
And as for the mystery of what happened to Lockhart’s earrings? A neighbor found the package last week in a pile of leaves, complete with tiny bite marks, according to News 12.
