Restaurant Closes One Year After Opening In Fairfield
The restaurant received a favorable review from the New York Times shortly after opening.

FAIRFIELD, CT — Miro Kitchen in Fairfield surprised its fans by announcing this week that it has closed about a year after opening on Black Rock Turnpike.
No specific reason was given for the closure, except for “some recent changes,” according to a post on Facebook.
“It is with regret that we are announcing that due to some recent changes, Miro Kitchen has had to close,” the statement reads on the restaurant’s Facebook page. “We wanted to thank our regulars (and not so regulars) as well as all of our customers for their loyal support over the past year. We wish the future occupants of this space success. While we won't be posting on our social media accounts on a regular basis going forward, please continue to follow these accounts for updates. It has been a pleasure serving you.”

The restaurant opened as a collaboration between Eugene Kabilnitsky, who operated Tomato & Basil out of the same location, and Nicole and Chris Gonzalez, who run the Hapa Food Truck in Stamford, but that partnership ended last year, according to the Connecticut Post.
The restaurant, which focused on unique dishes from the Pacific Rim regions, received a positive review from the New York Times soon after opening (read it here).
