REVISED DATES FOR COMMUNITY MEETINGS REGARDING RESIDENTS WITH DISABILITIES, CAREGIVERS AND FAMILIES
Fairfield, CT - October 21, 2013 - Director of Human and Social Services Terry Giegengack announced today that the Department of Human and Social Services is holding a series of community meetings to help improve programs and services for persons with disabilities who live in Fairfield. Anyone from the public, including persons with disabilities and their families, along with caregivers, are encouraged to attend any or all of these meetings and give their input.

Director Giegengack stated, “The goal of this public outreach is to better understand what is needed in order to best respond to residents with disabilities, caregivers and their families in Fairfield.”
Meetings will be held at the Fairfield Senior Center dining hall on Wednesday, October 23, 2013 at 6 pm, Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 11 am and Wednesday, October 30, 2013 at 1 pm. The Fairfield Senior Center is located at 100 Mona Terrace.

A series of November meetings will be scheduled and the public will be notified to continue the conversation about the needs of residents with disabilities in our community. Meetings previously scheduled for October 9, 2013 and October 16, 2013 have been cancelled. Please call 203-256-3169 for more information.
