Rob Blanchard Is Ready to Lead

In these troubling and tumultuous times, it is incredibly reassuring to have a candidate like Rob Blanchard step up and run for State Senate in the 28th District. I have had the opportunity to serve alongside Rob on Fairfield’s Representative Town Meeting where he quickly ascended to a leadership position. I saw firsthand the depth of knowledge, dedication, and experience that will make him an effective voice in the State Senate.

Rob has an extensive background in Connecticut state government and understands how decisions in Hartford affect our towns, schools, and families. During our time together on the RTM, my fellow representatives and I were consistently impressed by how informed he was about the issues we faced then and continue to face now. Just as importantly, Rob has a rare ability to take a complicated issue and explain in simple terms what is happening in Hartford, why it matters locally, and what can be done about it.

Rob is a dedicated public servant who is steadfast in his commitment to addressing the affordability challenges facing families, particularly housing, childcare, and healthcare. As a young parent himself, Rob understands these pressures facing so many today. He knows personally how difficult it has become to find and afford quality childcare and how increasingly out of reach affordable housing has become. He recognizes that government can be a powerful instrument for good and play a vital role in solving these problems.

I have spent many hours knocking doors with Rob and have seen the genuine connections he makes with voters. His kindness and humility stand out. He listens openly to different viewpoints, treats people with respect and never turns a disagreement into an argument, which is an especially rare quality these days.
