As most can easily guess, that hallowed Ivy League university in New Haven is considered the Best College in Connecticut, according to the latest rankings by BestColleges.com. But after Yale, what's considered the second, third best, and beyond?
Students at most institutions of high learning in the state either moved in, or are moving in this weekend. Did those students make the right choice? Yes, says the website, which stresses that an education obtained at one of the state's 89 colleges or universities is well-received in the workforce.
"Beyond the prestige of a historical alma-mater, a four-year education in Connecticut is highly desirable in the workforce," writes BestColleges.com. "Graduates of Connecticut’s top four-year colleges and universities have an average earning potential of up to 88% more than high school graduates, and salaries after college graduation from Connecticut schools are generally above the national average."
