Settlement Reached In Fairfield Smoothie-Throwing Incident: Report
James Iannazzo threw a smoothie and berated a teenage Robek's employee following his son's allergic reaction, according to police.
FAIRFIELD, CT — A financial settlement reportedly has been reached between James Iannazzo and a Fairfield Robek's teenage employee he threw a smoothie at and berated earlier this year, reported the Connecticut Post.
Iannazzo, an investment banker, ranted at the employee — using profane and racially charged language — after his son had a severe allergic reaction to nut-based ingredients in a smoothie made at the shop. The incident was caught and camera and went viral on social media.
Terms of the settlement were not disclosed, but Iannazzo's attorney, Charles Deluca, told the Post that the agreement was reached to "everyone's satisfaction."

The Post later wrote that the settlement was for $7,500, significantly lower than the $300,000 originally sought.
Following the January incident, Iannazzo was charged by Fairfield police with charged with second-degree intimidation based on bigotry or bias, second-degree breach of peace and first-degree criminal trespass.

He was granted accelerated rehabilitation in the case, meaning the charges will be dismissed if he successfully completes the one-year program.
