Severe Thunderstorm Warning For Fairfield County
Severe weather is moving in now, the National Weather Service says.

The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Warning for Fairfield County until 4:15 p.m. At 3:11 p.m. Saturday, a severe thunderstorm was located near Greenwich, or near Port Chester, moving northeast at 15 mph.
HAZARD...60 mph wind gusts and quarter size hail.
IMPACT...Minor hail damage to vehicles is possible. Expect wind damage to trees and power lines.

Stamford, Norwalk, White Plains, Port Chester, New Canaan, Rye, Greenwich, Harrison, Darien, Hawthorne, Bedford, Rye Brook, Elmsford, Armonk and Thornwood.
"Torrential rainfall is also occurring with this storm, and may cause localized flooding. Do not drive your vehicle through flooded roadways. Frequent cloud to ground lightning is occurring with this storm. Lightning can strike 10 miles away from a thunderstorm. Seek a safe shelter inside a building or vehicle."
