Six Scholarships Awarded To STEM Bridgeport High School Students

The Watermark at 3030 Park is excited to announce that through Watermark for Kids, a 501c3 nonprofit, scholarships have been awarded to six Bridgeport based Central High School students majoring in STEM related fields of medicine, dentistry, biology and more. These students are also actively involved with their HOSA (Health Occupations Students of America)/FHP (Future Health Professionals) club.

The scholarships, along with support from their advisor Carmen Francisco, will help students attend HOSA 42nd Annual International Leadership Conference and Competition in Orlando, Florida June 18-24. Students will be able to compete in the international competitions for their area of study in addition to attending over 200 workshops as well as college, internship and networking events.

The following students have competed in their selected fields and have won 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place medals and have also received a Watermark For Kids scholarship:

  • Jennefer Torres won 1st place in Veterinary Science
  • Cynthia Cabrera won 1st place in Dental Terminology
  • Dajonique Small won 1st place in Behavioral Health
  • Caye-Jree Rhone won 3rd in Medical Reading
  • Hate Carvajal-Pulla competed in Medical Spelling and terminology (is a voting delegate for the HOSA club)
  • Ana Luisa Moura competed in Medical Careers Display and presentation (is a voting delegate for our club)
