The Smithereens at FTC StageOne

The Smithereens’ will return for their sixth FTC show on June 17 as they celebrate the 30th anniversary of their debut album, “Especially For You.”

The Smithereens brought Beatles-esque melodies and classic 60s pop song-craft to the late 80s college rock crowd. From Top 40 blockbusters like the enormous hit "A Girl Like You," "Blood and Roses" and "Beauty and Sadness" to their secret stash of hidden gems, their tuneful treasures proved that the lessons they learned from the Fabs, the Beach Boys, Beau Brummels, and the like could still make a serious alt-rock impact.
