FAIRFIELD, CT — A new Fairfield business is hoping to improve health and wellness in town, one sip at a time.

Vibe, a smoothie and tea shop, is opening Saturday at 2377 Black Rock Turnpike.

“People are always looking for something that’s good for you, but tastes good as well,” said co-owner Jennifer Quiles-Mosley.

That’s what Quiles-Mosley and her son, Jailen Johnson, are bringing to Fairfield, she said.

Vibe’s protein shakes have 24 grams of protein, 21 vitamins and minerals, are under 250 calories, and are available in over 50 flavors such as white chocolate Reese's, Snickers, and cinnamon toast cheesecake. Each shake comes with a green energy tea. Vibe also sells iced protein coffees, with 15 grams of protein and 100 calories, as well as a kids menu of shakes.

Vibe is the 10th location in a group of similar shops, called Community Nutrition Network, created by Quiles-Mosley, who also owns the Shelton location, called Riverside Nutrition, and U Nutrition, which is in Hamden, and which she co-owns with her daughter. Quiles-Mosely started the network in 2019 as a way to help aspiring business owners provide nutritious beverages to their communities.

“We basically are bringing healthy nutrition into the communities and the towns in which we open up in,” she said.

The Fairfield shop is Community Nutrition Network’s first storefront in Fairfield County, with the other nine locations spread across New Haven County. Quiles-Mosley said she wanted to open a shop in Fairfield to see how the smoothie and tea business concept would be received in a community closer to the New York City suburbs.

Vibe is open 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Sundays and 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. weekdays. For more information, visit www.ctnlife.com.
