Suspect Pleads Guilty In Knifepoint Home Invasion In Fairfield: Report

The suspect was accused of assaulting a 62-year-old woman and stealing her jewelry and cash, according to police.

FAIRFIELD, CT — The suspect in a 2019 knifepoint home invasion in Fairfield pleaded guilty Monday, and now faces a prison term of 11 years, reported the Connecticut Post.

Bridgeport resident Guilherme Lima-DaSilva, 42, was accused of breaking into the Coventry Lane home of a 62-year-old woman on April 30, 2019, assaulting her, and stealing her jewelry and cash.

Lima-DaSilva was caught that same day, but not before area schools were briefly placed on "secure status" while police searched for him.

He reportedly pleaded guilty Monday to home invasion, second-degree assault, third-degree assault and first-degree robbery.

Under the plea deal, he will receive the 11-year prison term, followed by probation, when he is sentenced in February.
