FAIRFIELD, CT — Have a case of the winter blahs? An upcoming Taste of Fairfield event may be the cure you’re looking for. Fairfield Magazine, part of multi-magazine media company TownVibe, and creator of the successful fall Taste of Fairfield events, announces a Taste of Fairfield WinterFest event to celebrate food, friends, and offer an ideal escape from the winter blahs. On Sunday, Jan. 28, from 12 noon to 4 p.m., the magazine is hosting more than two dozen restaurants and businesses at the lavish three-floor Brooklawn Country Club in Fairfield. The event benefits charity partner Operation Hope of Fairfield.

In addition to fine and comfort cuisine, craft cocktails, wine, craft beer, and sweets, Nicholson Events will be making the place come alive, according to a press release. Nicholson’s DJ will feature dancing and a “silent dancefloor” — the latest craze where participants wear headphones and dance to the music. In addition, the four-lane bowling alley at Brooklawn will be set up for Rock N’ Bowl, with black lights and music. Plus, there is A VIP lounge sponsored by Maplewood Senior Living, comedians from Fairfield Comedy Club, and a special young kids’ area with crafts and face painting.

“Good things happen when people connect over good food,” TownVibe publisher Geoffrey Morris said.
