Tide Thief Fails to Make a Clean Getaway: Fairfield Police
The shoplifting suspect, who allegedly stole nearly $160 worth of Tide laundry detergent, was arrested after being stopped on a bike.

FAIRFIELD, CT — A shoplifting suspect failed to make a clean getaway after allegedly stealing $159 worth of Tide pods from Stop & Shop, according to the Fairfield Citizen.
The Citizen reports Michael Hill, 37, of Bridgeport, was arrested after being stopped by police while he was riding a bike in Bridgeport on Friday.
Hill also admitted to police that he had stolen four or five containers of Tide a couple of days earlier, according to the Citizen. Another man is also a suspect in that case and police plan to apply for an arrest warrant.
