FAIRFIELD, CT — A New York woman faces several charges after she tried to take out thousands of dollars from Fairfield banks using false identification, according to police.

Haley Rose Film used a fake New York driver’s license and fraudulent debit card to try to withdraw $50,000 about 3:30 p.m. Feb. 3 from TD Bank, 1715 Black Rock Turnpike, police said. When the bank contacted the account owner about the large amount of money, the owner said that they were not at the bank and that unauthorized withdrawals had been made on their account, according to police, who said Film fled the business.

About two hours later, Film tried to withdraw a $9,100 check with a forged signature at another TD Bank location at 1643 Post Road, police said. The second bank had been notified of the incident on Black Rock Turnpike and contacted police, according to law enforcement, who said Film was found and taken into custody.
