• Prominent Farmington Nonprofit Announces Major Community Investments (patch.com) — More than $140,000 from Farmington Community Chest is being invested directly into Farmington and Unionville programs, from food pantry support to senior services and inclusive recreation. Local students, veterans, and families will see benefits through scholarships, arts education, internships at UConn Health, and expanded adaptive recreation, with another donation appeal heading to residents in October.

(ctmirror.org) — Federal prosecutors may soon seize a Farmington home tied to former state budget official Kosta Diamantis after he skipped court and allegedly fled overseas on corruption convictions. The Meadow Road property, long his primary residence, secures $1 million in appearance bonds and multiple private loans, raising questions about how competing lenders and the government will recover money if the house is sold.
• Former Bangor High girls soccer All-American Stephenson commits to UConn (bangordailynews.com) — A standout Bangor soccer forward has verbally committed to play for UConn in 2028 and is now attending Miss Porter's School in Farmington. Her move brings a nationally recognized talent into the local prep scene, as coaches praise her scoring, vision, and competitiveness while she prepares for the jump to Big East soccer.
