Bicyclist Seriously Injured in Farmington Collision
A bicyclist suffered life-threatening injuries in a collision with a motor vehicle Tuesday night.

FARMINGTON, CT — A collision between a motor vehicle and a bicycle Tuesday night resulted in serious injuries being sustained by the bicyclist, according to Farmington police.
Farmington police, fire and EMS personnel responded to the intersection of Route 177 and Morea Road around 9:43 p.m., where an adult bicyclist sustained life-threatening injuries and was transported by ambulance to Saint Francis Hospital in Hartford, Lt. Patrick Buckley said.
The operator of the vehicle was not injured, Buckley said.

The North Central Municipal Accident Reconstruction Squad responded and is assisting in the investigation. Route 177 was closed between Route 6 and Morea/Meadow Roads until about 1:30 a.m., Buckley said.
