On Campus - Farmington College Students

FARMINGTON, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Assumption College, Worcester MA

• The Assumption College Department of Athletics has announced that Dominic Alfano, of Farmington, has been named to the 2018 Assumption College baseball team. Alfano, Class of 2019, will compete during the Greyhounds' spring season, which began in late February when the team traveled to the USA Baseball National Training Complex in Cary, NC, for a four-game series, followed by eight games during their annual spring break trip to Florida.

University of Florida, Gainesville FL

• Sara Stranieri of Farmington was recently initiated into The Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi, the nation's oldest and most selective all-discipline collegiate honor society. Stranieri is among approximately 30,000 students, faculty, professional staff and alumni to be initiated into Phi Kappa Phi each year. Membership is by invitation only and requires nomination and approval by a chapter.
