FARMINGTON, CT — Here are some recent notable accomplishments by local college students, as provided by readMedia Newswire.

Colby College, Waterville ME

• Heather Jahrling of Farmington was recently named to the highly selective Dean's List at Colby College in Waterville, Maine, for outstanding academic achievement during the fall semester of the 2017-18 academic year. Jahrling is one of 469 Colby students - or 24 percent of the qualified student body - to qualify for the Dean's List last semester. Jahrling, a member of the Class of 2021, attended Farmington High School, and is the daughter of Timothy and Maureen Jahrling of Farmington. She earned a semester grade point average of 3.77 or higher last fall to be included on Colby's highly selective Dean's List.

Georgia Institute of Technology, Atlanta GA

• Jessica Rosenfield of Farmington has earned a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta. Rosenfield was among approximately 3,100 undergraduate and graduate students who received degrees during Georgia Tech's 254th Commencement exercises on Dec. 15-16, 2017, at the McCamish Pavilion.

Merrimack College, North Andover MA

• Erin Fulton of Unionville was named to the Merrimack College Dean's List for the fall 2017 semester.
