Bard College at Simon's Rock, Great Barrington MA
- Vivek Kumar of Unionville recently graduated with distinction from Bard College at Simon's Rock with an Associate of Arts degree in Liberal Arts. Kumar attended Farmington Senior High School before starting college early. Kumar was one of 144 students to graduate from the early college on Saturday, May 20, 2017. Fifty undergraduates received their B.A. degrees and 94 students received their A.A. degrees. Each semester, Bard College at Simon's Rock recognizes superior scholarship through the Dean's List. Kumar has earned a place on the Dean's List for the spring 2017 semester. To be eligible for this honor, a student must carry 14 or more credits and achieve a grade point average of 3.5.
Husson University, Bangor ME

- Farmington resident Michael Popolizio has been named to Husson University's Honors List for the spring 2017 semester. Popolizio is a first-year student who is currently enrolled in Husson's Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology-Human Movement Science/Doctor of Physical Therapy program. Students who make the Honors List must carry at least 12 graded credit hours during the semester and earn a grade point average of between 3.4 to 3.59 during the period.
Roger Williams University, Bristol RI
- Three students from Farmington have been named to the spring 2017 Dean's List at Roger Williams University in Bristol, R.I.: Jessica Colwick, Skyler Moncada and Kelly Rio. Full-time students who complete 12 or more credits per semester and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher are placed on the Dean's List that semester.
State University of New York, Potsdam NY

- Amanda Butland of Farmington was recently named to the President's List at the State University of New York at Potsdam. Butland, whose major is Art History, was among 855 SUNY Potsdam students who were honored for academic excellence in the spring 2017 semester. To achieve the honor of being on the President's List, each student must have satisfactorily completed 12 numerically-graded semester hours, with a grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
University of Alabama, Tuscaloosa AL
- University of Alabama student John T. McLaughlin of Farmington was named to the Dean's List for spring 2017. A total of 11,101 students enrolled during the 2017 spring semester at The University of Alabama were named to the Dean's List with an academic record of 3.5 (or above) or the President's List with an academic record of 4.0 (all A's). The UA Dean's and President's lists recognize full-time undergraduate students.
Western New England University, Springfield MA
- Western New England University congratulates more than 700 students named to the spring semester 2017 Dean's List. The following students from Farmington were named to the Dean's List for achieving a semester grade point average of 3.30 or higher: Paul DiTommaso, majoring in Accounting, and Carla Vicente, majoring in Communication - Public Relations.
