Construction Prompting Traffic Shifts on Route 4 in Farmington
The state DOT is shifting traffic patterns in Farmington.

FARMINGTON, CT — Motorists can expect a traffic shift along Route 4 beginning next month, town officials said.
The Connecticut Department of Transportation is altering traffic flows to facilitate the installation of new storm drainage and the relocation of existing utilities.
The work will begin on Tuesday, March 7, and last for approximately three months, town officials said.

One lane will be maintained in each direction for Route 4 westbound and eastbound.
Turning lanes will be maintained at the intersection of Route 4 with Garden Street, Route 10 and Mountain Spring Road.

Motorists can expect delays and should allow extra time for trips through this area or seek alternate
routes.
Drivers should expcet flaggers, equipment and signs in the work zones, town opfficials saod.
Local Businesses will be open during construction, town officials said.
