CSI, 10 p.m., CBS
Ted Danson, it turns out I have missed you. I have not watched CSI since Gil Grissom took his leave (well, I watched that first episode after and then pretty much bailed) but I was intrigued by the addition of Danson in the wake of Laurence Fishburne’s departure. Now, the plots itself made not one iota of sense to me (Asian hookers have sex with octopi? Hunters are blown up from the inside out?) but I adored Danson’s performance and I am coming back for more.

A new sitcom about a hip metropolitan teen who moves to the ‘burbs, and all the culture shock that goes with it. This got good initial reviews, so I am checking it out. I’ll let you know.

Like a shinier Idol, but I liked it. So great to have Paula and Simon back (he treats her like she’s his Tinkerbell), L.A. Reid is the new reality show star, the Pussycat is tolerable and gorgeous, and the talent is considerable. And yes, I cried twice: single Mom who sings like Aretha, and rehabbed meth head dude. Tell me you didn’t too.
