Dressing the Civil War Woman

Pantaloons, boned corset, hoop, skirt, bodice...dressing in the Civil War era took pateince and time for women. Joann Zeisner will dress a manikin in a Civil War-era dress that she tailored from an authentic pattern, sharing the many layers in a woman's outfit, along with what she learned about the clothing's construction. Participants will enjoy a light lunch of tea sandwiches, dessert and tea during the program.
