NINA STANLEY MEMORIAL LECTURE: Degas as Draftsman

Join Ann Sievers, Director and Curator of the Saint Joseph College Art Gallery in West Hartford, CT, to learn more about Edgar Degas, his drawings and other artwork, including the artist's oil, pastels and prints in Hill-Stead's collection.

Enjoy an open house 6–6:45 pm, where you'll see the museum's featured exhibition, Wonders Revealed: Rarely Seen Original Prints from Hill-Stead's Collection. The lecture will begin at 7 pm. A reception with refreshments will follow.

Sievers, a specialist in works on paper, has organized exhibitions that have toured nationally and internationally, including a show of master drawings that was presented at the Uffizi Gallery in Florence, Italy, and the Fondacion La Caixa in Madrid, Spain. She has degrees in art history from Wellesley College (B.A.) and Boston University (M.A.).
