Fairy tales do come true - we wish upon a star and hope our dream of a cancer free world will come true. Teams from schools, families, businesses and civic organizations will be gathering to take turns on the track for 24 hours to raise money for the American Cancer Society and its programs, celebrate cancer survivors and remember all who have been lost to cancer!!!
The public is invited to join us on the track any time during the day - to support the teams' efforts and to join in the festivities of the day:

Remember - Memorial Torch / Luminaria Ceremony - Sat . Dusk
You may remember loved ones who have been lost to cancer with a $50 donation for a memorial torch. Torches will be lit during a ceremony while the names of those remembered are read. Torches will light the way for walkers throughout the night and may be taken home on Sunday morning.
You can light the way to a future without cancer and honor loved ones who have had the disease by joining the luminaria ceremony at Relay. Candles are placed in bags bearing the names of those who have survived cancer and those we have lost to cancer. When lit, hundreds of luminaria brighten the way for Relay walkers throughout the night in a heartfelt reminder of how cancer touches all of us. Luminaria can be purchased for $10 each prior to the Relay or at the event. The ceremony concludes with a Silent Lap.
Fight Back Closing Ceremony - Sun. 8:45 am
Immediately prior to closing the 24 hour Relay, we take time to think about what we each can do to fight back against cancer. Through advocacy, joining ACS CAN, cancer education – each making a personal commitment – so that we can come to a time when no one will have to hear those three words "You have cancer".
It's about a community that takes up the fight - together we can and will make a difference inthe fight against cancer!!!!!
Please join and support us!!!!!
