Farmington Asst. Principal to be Honored at BOE Meeting

Krista Bauchman is being honored because she won the middle school assistant principal of the year award.

Irving A. Robbins Middle School Assistant Principal Krista Bauchman will be honored at the Farmington Board of Education meeting set for Jan. 12 after she was named Connecticut’s 2015 Middle School Assistant Principal of the Year.

The award comes from the Connecticut Association of Schools (CAS) and the National Association of Secondary School Principals.

Bauchman became an assistant principal in July 2012. Before that, she taught for several years in Durham and Bloomfield.

She was selected for the award because of her strong leadership skills, commitment to the school community and her work to ensure high-quality learning opportunities, according to a release.

Also on the meeting’s agenda is a superintendent report on a number of topics, inclduing technology and special education budget information.
