Farmington Carnival To Benefit Local Fire Company

Unionville's Tunxis Hose Co. No. 1 to host carnival, fireworks and parade at annual celebration July 7-9 at Union School.

FARMINGTON, CT — A local fire department's annual fundraising carnival starts Thursday and lasts through Saturday, promising an enjoyable time for the family with traditional carnival fare and fun.

The Tunxis Hose Co. No. 1 out of the Unionville section of Farmington is hosting the 2022 carnival, parade and fireworks.

All the fun is at Union School, 173 School St. in Unionville.

It all starts on Thursday, July 7, at 6 p.m. when the carnival opens with "Family Night," featuring bracelets for all the amusements.

Then on Friday, July 8, the carnival opens at 6 p.m. with fireworks expected at 9:30 p.m.
Festivities conclude on Saturday, July 9, 2022 when it all starts at 6 p.m. with a parade and carnival.

Closing time all three days is about 10 p.m.

One aspect sure to tickle summertime palates is the event's "famous fried dough" (still with Uncle Bill’s secret sauce).

Other good eats available, according to the fire department, are hamburgers, sausage burgers, hot dogs, French fries, soda, water, beer and wine.

"Have fun on the rides or win a prize at one of our games," reads the department's website. "Fun for the whole family."
