Farmington Council Grants Town Manager Another Raise/Bonus
In addition to a nearly $11,000-a-year pay increase, Farmington's top appointed official received a $10,000 lump-sum bonus last week.

FARMINGTON, CT — One year after approving a four-year contract extension and a pay raise for its town manager, the Farmington Town Council last week gave her another raise as well as a bonus.
Farmington Town Manager Kathleen Blonski's current contract lasts through the 2026-27 fiscal year and her pay is, now, $193,949 a year.
A year ago, Blonski and the town inked a new four-year pact starting in 2023-24 through 2023-27 that would have paid her $183,000 a year.

But at a special Farmington Town Council meeting June 16, the council unanimously voted 7-0 to boost her pay to the new figure, in essence a nearly $11,000-a-year pay hike.
Council members also tweaked the benefits package for Blonski, making revisions regarding retirement planning options and town contributions.

Those revisions were approved by the council 6-1, with only Rafeena Bacchus-Lee, a Democrat, opposed.
On top of all that, the council unanimously approved giving Blonski a $10,000 bonus in the form of a lump sum payment "as a result of her exceptional performance and exceeding her goals and objectives this year," according to meeting minutes.
