Farmington Girls Move Up in Basketball Poll
The Indians have captured 12 of their first 13 outings this season.

FARMINGTON, CT — After opening the 2017-18 season with 12 victories in 13 games, the Farmington High School girls basketball team has advanced another notch in the weekly poll of coaches and media members.
The Indians (12-1) moved up from eight to seventh in the most recent balloting after big wins over Newington and Avon last week. Farmington plays at Torrington Monday, then hosts a showdown with No. 8 RHAM Friday evening.
Mercy (11-0) captured eight of 14 first-place votes to lead the rankings outright for the second straight week. New London (12-0) garnered the other six top spots to place second.
