Farmington Man Charged With Illegal Teen Parties To Face Judge

The 41-year-old former hair salon owner is accused of hosting drug- and booze-fueled parties involving area teenagers.

FARMINGTON, CT — A former hair salon owner from Farmington will appear in court later this month to face a litany of charges related to his recent arrests connected with underage parties and sexual acts.

David Olivo, 41, will appear in Hartford Superior Court Sept. 28 to face several misdemeanor and felony charges related to accusations of hosting booze and drug-fueled parties involving minors.

According to online court records, Olivo is free on bonds totaling about $1.7 million and he has not entered a plea.

According to CTInsider.com, the charges date back to January 2021, when Farmington police were notified of plans for Olivo to host a party with underage guests at his Plantsville Avenue residents, which he also operated a hair salon.

Olivo is charged with several different crimes, including sexual assault, risk of injury to a child, several drug charges and several charges of providing illegal substances to underage youths, among other misdemeanors and felonies.

CTInsider.com obtained the arrest warrants, which detail what happened at "rave-like" parties involving Olivo, his live-in girlfriend and teens from several area towns.
