
Elizabeth J. DiLoreto (“Betty”) passed away on July 29th 2018 in Farmington.
She was born in Bristol to parents Elizabeth and Carlton Callahan on September 13, 1929, the third child born to the Callahan clan of 10. Betty was predeceased by her loving husband of 40 years, Lawrence J. DiLoreto (“Larry”), who died in 1992, her brothers Dick and Junie, and sisters Joan and Frannie.Betty and Larry were married on August 22, 1952. They had two sons, Robert (“Bob”) and Lawrence (“Larry” Jr.) where Betty and Larry raised them in a loving, adventurous, family environment.
When Larry’s career provided a unique international opportunity abroad, Betty and Larry moved to Italy in 1962 with their two young sons. They enjoyed traveling throughout Europe as a family over weekends and on holidays during the time they spent in Italy. They relocated back to Connecticut in 1965, and then onto Hershey, PA in 1968 to lead US operations for Olivetti.

Once their sons left for colleges in Boston, Betty began a successful career at Contel, where she won many awards and created many friendships that remained strong and were held close to her heart until her passing. Betty moved to Farmington after her husband passed where she continued to live an active and social life, with her family always at the forefront of her love.
Betty is survived by her son Bob DiLoreto and his daughters Lauren and Liz, her son Larry DiLoreto, his wife, Sally, and their children William, Sydney and Chanel, brother Dennis Callahan and wife Sheila, brother Michael Callahan, and wife Margie, sisters Loretta Noon, Maureen Viele, and Elaine Callahan, and many nieces and nephews.

Friends and family are invited to attend a Funeral Mass to honor Betty on Friday, August 3rd at 10:30 AM at The Church of Saint Patrick, 110 Main Street, Farmington.
