
Frederick James Ballestrini (Mick), 83, died at home on October 21, 2015.
He was born in New London to Lillian and Richard Ballestrini. He taught English for many years, in Coventry, Manchester, Farmington and East Hartford. Besides English, he loved the Italian language. He was privileged to spend the school year 1963-64 in Italy with his wife, Joan, working with Italian teachers of English.
He leaves his wife, Joan, his children Lisa-Vale and Brian, his son-in-law Christopher, and daughter-in-law Linda, two grandchildren, Seth and Matthew, one brother, Richard and his Children, Debra, Ricky, and Glen. He was predeceased by his sister, Geraldine, and his brother Tracy.

He was a graduate of Buckley High School in New London, and New Britain Teacher’s College (now CCSU). Besides excelling academically, he played three sports every year. He was a member of the United Congregational Church of Tolland.
