Farmington Obituary: Giuseppina Gionfriddo, 54

Giuseppina “Pina” Gionfriddo, 54, of Wethersfield, loving daughter of Salvatore and Giovanna (Ficara) Gionfriddo of Wethersfield died unexpectedly Saturday, April 2, 2016.

Pina was born on November 23, 1961 in Canicattini Bagni, Sicily, Italy. She attended Bulkeley High School in Hartford and was a member of the Bulkeley High School Italian Club, where she made many lasting friendships. Pina was employed at Farmington Bank in Farmington. She enjoyed spending time with her family, friends, reading and traveling.

In addition to her parents, Pina will be dearly missed by two brothers, two nephews, one niece, one great-nephew and three great-nieces, along with many uncles, aunts, cousins and friends, both in Italy and the United States.

Calling hours are Wednesday (April 6) from 8:30-10:30 a.m. at the D’Esopo Funeral Chapel, 277 Folly Brook Blvd., Wethersfield followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 11 a.m. at the Church of the Incarnation, 544 Prospect St., Wethersfield. Entombment will be in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Hartford.
