
Lila (Marks) Gendler, 85, of Unionville, beloved wife of Lawrence Gendler for 67 years, passed away, Tuesday, October 10, 2016.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, daughter of the late Henry and Gertrude (Cohen) Marks, she lived in Brooklyn until moving to Unionville 15 years ago. She enjoyed playing Mahjong, knitting, gardening, and was an avid reader.
Besides her husband Lawrence, she leaves her son Dr. Robert Gendler and his wife Joanne of Avon; five beloved grandchildren Mindi, Craig, and Harlee Kaplan; and Gianna and James Gendler; and 2 special great grandchildren Sara and Adrianna. She was predeceased by her two daughters Mindi Gendler and Susan Kaplan.

Family and friends are invited to her funeral service Thursday, October 13, 2016, 2:30 pm in the Chapel of the Carmon Funeral Home of Avon, 301 Country Club Road, Avon. Burial services will be Friday, October 14, 2016, 11 am at Sharon Gardens Cemetery, 273 Lakeview Avenue, Valhalla, NY, 10595.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the donor's local American Cancer Society to benefit Lung Cancer Research.
