Farmington Obituary: Mary Connors, 95

Mary Elizabeth Connors, 95, of Simsbury, passed away Tuesday, March 21st, 2017.

Born April 8th, 1921 in Unionville, daughter of the late Joseph and Catherine (McCue) Connors, she resided most of her life in Unionville. Mary was a graduate of Farmington High School, Class of 1938 and was associated with Federal Mogul, McCallum’s Auto Supply and South Catholic High School. She was a longtime communicant at the Church of St. Mary Star of the Sea in Unionville and led the Prayer Group at the Governor’s House.

Mary loved spending time at the family cottage at Westhill Pond and summer vacations at Cape Cod. She was a lifelong fan of the Boston Red Sox and enjoyed golfing.

She is survived by her one sister-in-law, many nieces, nephews, cousins and great nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her siblings, James Connors, Joseph Connors, Anne Connors, Thomas Connors and Theresa Connors.

Graveside funeral services will be held Monday (Apr. 3) at 10:00am in the family plot at St. Mary Cemetery, Avon.
