
Nan Marjorie (Parsons) Dahlstrom, 85, of Farmington, beloved wife of the late Irving Dahlstrom, passed away Saturday, August 29, 2015.
Born in Waterbury, daughter of the late Harry Theodore and Marjorie (Lawrence) Parsons, she was raised in Winsted where she graduated from Gilbert High School. She received her RN from Hartford Hospital School of Nursing and worked for many years at Hartford Hospital and Avery Heights.
Nan dedicated her life to her husband and children through her faith. She found great joy in blessing others through her gracious hospitality and her gifts of sewing, quilting, cooking, gardening, and singing. She cherished God’s Word in her heart and loved sharing it with others.

Nan leaves two sons, Timothy Dahlstrom (Terri) of Unionville and Jonathan Dahlstrom (Jill) of Simsbury; four daughters, Pamela Dahlstrom of Nashville, TN, Wendy Hines (Donn) of Charlotte, NC, Marta Molloy of Portland, OR, and MaryBeth Shultz (Albert) of Dalton, GA, two sisters, Bonnie Holcomb (Ralph) of New Brunswick, Canada and Ingrid Hinman (Sid) of Salisbury, NC. She was blessed with 22 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. Besides her husband Irving, she is predeceased by four brothers, Robert, Richard, Carl, and Theodore Parsons.
A Memorial Service in her honor will be held September 19, 2015 at 10:00 am at the Carmon Funeral Home and Family Center, 301 Country Club Rd., Avon. Her family will receive friends an hour before the service at the funeral home. Burial will be at the convenience of the family at Rose Hill Memorial Park.
