Farmington Obituary: Rosemary Marek, 61

Rosemary G. Marek, 61, of Unionville, passed away Saturday, January 23, 2016.

Born August 18th, 1954 in Hartford, she was the daughter of the late Robert M. Glynn and Isabelle (Sandwell) Glynn Nichols. Rosemary was a longtime communicant at the Church of St. Mary Star of the Sea in Unionville where she was the Director of Religious Education for many years and also served on the Parish Council.

Rosemary is survived by her two children, Laura Gorman and her wife Gina of Simsbury, Rick Marek and his wife Lindsay of Prospect, her three grandchildren, Mason, Bradley and Levi Marek, her brother Robert Glynn and his wife Janet of Canton, her sister Karin Till and her husband Bruce of Farmington, her brother Stephen Glynn and his wife Marie of Farmington and her two aunts, Ruth Parcinski and Sr. Winifred Sandwell.

Friends may call at The Ahern Funeral Home, 111 Main St., Rt. 4, Unionville on Thursday (Jan. 28) from 4:00-7:00pm. Funeral procession from The Ahern Funeral Home will be Friday (Jan. 29) at 9:15am followed by the Funeral Liturgy in the Church of St. Mary Star of the Sea, Unionville at 10:00am. Burial will be in St. Mary Cemetery, Avon.
