Farmington Police Department Conducts Tobacco Compliance Inspections
Five clerks at five establishments sold tobacco products to the underage decoy and were issued infractions.

On June 15, the Farmington Police Department conducted unannounced compliance inspections at 24 establishments that sell tobacco products in town.
The inspections were performed in an effort to determine compliance with state laws concerning the prohibition of sale of tobacco products to youths under the age of 18.
Under the direction and supervision of Farmington Police Investigators and with parental permission, a 17-year-old male entered the establishments and attempted to purchase tobacco products.
