Farmington Police Take Part in Shop with a Cop Event

Members of the Farmington Police Department participated in a “Shop with a Cop” event hosted by the Reach Foundation during the holiday season.

Uniformed officers spend a day with under privledged children as part of the program, according to a press release. The officer and child socialize, shop and the officer helps provide guidance during the holiday season.

The event took place in Southington on Dec. 9.

Children shopped for holiday gifts for their family and a children’s organization in the community.

Farmington Police worked with the Town of Farmington Social Services Department and the Reach Foundation to connect cops with kids.
