Sandy Hook Shooting Victims Families Sue Newtown, Board of Education

At least two families have sued the town of Newtown and BOE, alleging lax security and other mishaps that occurred before the shooting.

At least two families of victims of the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting have sued the Town of Newtown and the Board of Education.

Family members of Noah Pozner and Jesse Lewis gave the lawsuit to a state marshal on Dec.14, the last day possible for them to file a wrongful death claim, according to the Hartford Courant.

The suit alleges that the town and Board of Education was negligent in not ensuring a more secure entrance to the school. The suit also claims that security staff should have been present in the school parking lot.
