Former Farmington Coach Elected to CT Field Hockey Hall of Fame
She will join eight other individuals to be inducted into the Hall of Fame on Sunday, Sept. 16.

FARMINGTON, CT — A longtime field hockey coach at Farmington High School will join eight other honorees as members of the Class of 2018 of the Connecticut Field Hockey Hall of Fame.
Nelle Jennings Andrews, who coached the sport for 17 years at Farmington High School, is being inducted in the honorary category. A former standout player at Connecticut College, she began as a developmental coach in 1999, then became varsity assistant before assuming the head coaching reins in 2002, when the Indians were Class M runners-up. She won two conference championships during her tenure, and was a two-time Class M Coach of the Year award winner from the Connecticut Field Hockey Coaches Association. She also coached with USFHA Field Hockey Futures and the HTC Club. She is currently a teacher, head field hockey coach and assistant lacrosse coach at the Miss Porter’s School in Farmington.
