Huge Jordan's Furniture Store To Open Friday At WeHa/Farmington Mall
The New England-based furniture retailer is known as a destination store with enough amenities to be an attraction unto itself.
WEST HARTFORD/FARMINGTON, CT — A massive "destination" furniture store will officially open later this week in a popular shopping destination in the Greater Hartford area.
Jordan's Furniture will open Friday, Dec. 15, at noon at the Westfarms Mall, which is located in both West Hartford and Farmington (officially 500 West Farms Mall, Farmington).
Based out of Taunton, Mass., Jordan's is known for a rather unique approach to selling its upscale style of furniture, with the stores practically attractions unto themselves.

Many stores have zip lines, rope courses, restaurants and, even, entertainment such as theaters inside.
Jordan's is going up in the space at the former Lord & Taylor store, which closed in August 2020 amid the pandemic as the company filed for bankruptcy.

When it was first announced at the end of 2022 that Jordan's was coming to the mall, early estimates had it opening in early 2024.
But speedy progress on site has resulted in an earlier-than-anticipated opening for the 120,000-square-foot operation.
The Jordan's Facebook page has, even, been posting videos of the construction progress.
Currently, Jordan's has one other Connecticut store in New Haven, with six others in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and New Hampshire. The Westfarms store in Farmington/West Hartford will be the chain's eighth.
While the anticipation of Jordan's opening will end on Friday, more anticipation is expected for the opening of another business inside the furniture store.
Earlier this fall, permits were sought by "Sally's Apizza," the beloved New Haven-style pizza eatery chain that is part of that city's famous pizza scene, to build a new restaurant inside the new Jordan's.
