Deceased Worker Identified in Fatal Farmington Industrial Accident
A load of metal fell on a worker, killing him. OSHA is investigating.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration is investigating a fatal industrial accident that occurred at the Stanley Access Technologies Plant yesterday.
A bundle of aluminum being removed from a truck Wednesday afternoon fell on top of worker Neil Hynick, 65, of Schofield, WI. He was the driver of the truck that was carrying the aluminum, said Lt. Colin Ryan, Farmington Police spokesman.
Hynick recieved a serious head injury and was transported to John Dempsey Hospital where he later died, Ryan said.

“It does not appear that there is any criminal element to this case,” Ryan said.
The plant is located on Scott Swamp Road.

OSHA plans to have a compliance officer on site today, according to Fox CT.
